Job summary

Elvy Court Care Home, run by Avery Healthcare Group in Sittingbourne, is seeking a Care Assistant to provide personal care and daily support to residents, helping maintain independence and dignity.

No prior experience required; a full induction and training programme will be provided. DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK are required, with opportunities to learn and develop within a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, verbal and written.
• Initiative and respectful conduct towards residents and others in the home.
• Ability to carry out reasonable instructions from team members.
• Adaptability and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care to keep residents as independent as possible and respect their dignity.
• Recognise clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and signs of infection, and escalate them in a timely manner.
• Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality.
• Practise safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
• Contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
