Job summary

Care Dorset Limited is seeking dedicated Care Assistants to support adults in a residential or community setting. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living tasks and help residents maintain their independence and quality of life.

This role offers full-time and part-time positions with shifts including early and late hours and alternate weekends. You will work within the Gold Standards Framework and benefit from generous annual leave, enhanced maternity pay, sick pay from day one,

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support for residents as required.
• Assist with toileting, washing and transfers including hoisting and safe manual handling.
• Carry out domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Support residents while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Record brief notes on individual client records and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements for manual handling, transfer hoisting and infection control.
• Work a rota that includes early and late shifts and alternate weekends.

Job description

Each day as a Care Assistant is different. You will assist with all aspects of personal care and support for the people we support within the setting.

• Undertake personal care duties as required to the relevant client group which will typically include toileting, washing and manual handling (including hoisting) and transfer.
• Undertake domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
• Support the relevant client group in a way that maintains dignity and privacy
• Participate in the maintenance of essential record keeping, through brief written recording on individual client records
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements in respect of manual handling and transfer hoisting and the use of protective equipment to aid infection control
• You would be expected to work within the Gold Standards Framework
• There are full-time and part time positions available .
• The successful candidates will be required to work a rota that includes early and late shifts, as well as alternate weekends.
