Job summary

Care Dorset Ltd in Blandford Forum is hiring two full-time Care Assistants (35 hours per week) to provide personal care and support within the setting, with a rota including early/late shifts and alternate weekends.

Eligible applicants must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship). The role includes generous annual leave (27–31 days), enhanced maternity pay, sick pay from day one, Blue Light discounts, training via Litmos, an EAP, and a Refer a Friend bonus up to £300.

• Undertake domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Support clients in a way that maintains dignity and privacy.
• Maintain essential records with brief daily notes on client records.

Job description

Each day as a Care Assistant is different. You will assist with all aspects of personal care and support for the people we support within the setting.

• Undertake personal care duties as required to the relevant client group which will typically include toileting, washing and manual handling (including hoisting) and transfer.
• Undertake domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
• Support the relevant client group in a way that maintains dignity and privacy
• Participate in the maintenance of essential record keeping, through brief written recording on individual client records
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements in respect of manual handling and transfer hoisting and the use of protective equipment to aid infection control
• You would be expected to work within the Gold Standards Framework
• There are two full-time positions available (35 hours per week). The successful candidates will be required to work a rota that includes early and late shifts, as well as alternate weekends.
