The role includes an induction and training programme, DBS check funded by Avery, and eligibility to work in the UK. The Beaconsfield home forms part of Avery’s South Division network.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene to maintain independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise and report clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls or infections promptly.
• Be courteous to residents and visitors, maintaining dignity and individuality of each resident.
