Job summary

Cera in Colchester & surrounding areas is hiring a Care Assistant. You'll be supporting people to recover at home after surgery or illness, ensuring suitable care plans are in place and enabling earlier hospital discharge.

You'll travel across the region including Colchester, Clacton, Tendring, Harwich, Manningtree, Frinton, Walton on the Naze to provide post-hospital care.

No prior care experience is required as full training is provided, and driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

• Previous care experience is not required; training will be given.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including continence support, washing and dressing, managing medications, cooking or preparing hot meals, and helping with domestic tasks.
• Provide companionship, reassurance and joy to clients while delivering post-hospital care and ensuring safe care plans.

Job Description

Join Cera as a Care Assistant in Colchester & surrounding areas. In this role you'll be assessing individuals who have recently left hospital following surgery or illness and ensuring the correct care plans are put in place. This is a vital care service that means people can leave hospital sooner and reduces pressure on the NHS.

You'll be traveling across the region including Colchester, Clacton, Tendering, Harwich, Manningtree, Frinton, Walton on the Naze and surrounding areas to provide post-hospital care to people recovering from illness or injury.

More about this role:

• Block shift pay, Guaranteed Hours available for those with flexible availability


• We have part-time and full-time roles available, some weekend work will be required.


• For this role, you require a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
