Cera Care in Portsmouth is seeking caring individuals to join our team as a Care Assistant across Portsmouth and surrounding areas. You will support clients who recently left hospital, helping them recover at home and maintain independence, safety, and comfort.

We offer part-time and full-time hours, a block hourly rate that covers travel time and care visits, and a wide benefits package. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to visit clients.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience and a Health & Social Care NVQ or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including continence support, washing and dressing.
• Manage medications and prepare hot meals.
• Help with domestic tasks and companionship.
• Provide reassurance and joy to clients.

In this role you will support people who have recently left hospital following surgery or illness that require additional support whilst they recover. This is a vital care service that means people can leave hospital sooner and reduces pressure on the NHS.

We have work available across the area including Portsmouth, Havant, Hayling, Waterlooville, Emsworth, Petersfield, Gosport, Fareham, Cosham, Portchester, Tichfield, Whitley, Hedgeend and Wickham.

More about this role:

• For this role, you require previous experience in Care and either hold a Health & Social Care relevant NVQ or be willing to work towards one.
• A variety of shift patterns are available and this role is paid as a block hourly rate, covering travel time and care visits.
• We have part-time and full-time roles available, some weekend work will be required.
• For this role you require a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
