Role Overview
As a Care Assistant with Westward Care you will provide compassionate, person‑centred support to residents living with dementia — with warmth, patience and professionalism. Helping them feel safe, valued and understood.
This part‑time position is initially offered on a casual/bank basis offering you meaningful work within a supportive team. Initially this role is required to cover holiday and sickness absence, ensuring continuity of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities of a Care Assistant
Personal Care Support — Assist with washing, dressing, mobility and mealtime support, always delivered with dignity and sensitivity.
Dementia‑Focused Support — Provide calm, structured and reassuring care tailored to residents living with dementia.
Emotional Companionship — Offer kindness, patience and meaningful interaction to promote wellbeing.
Domestic Assistance — Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable living environment.
Observation & Reporting — Notice changes in residents’ health or behaviour and communicate promptly with senior staff.
Holiday & Sickness Cover — Provide additional support when colleagues are away, ensuring seamless, high‑quality care.
Team Collaboration — Work closely with colleagues to deliver consistent, person‑centred care.
