CS UK Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Care Assistant for a care home in Workington, Cumbria. The role involves acting as a key worker, supporting admissions and care plans for residents, including those with dementia.

You will provide high-quality personal and social care aligned with individual plans. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract, nights, 38.5 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package including holiday, DBS checks, uniform, and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Respect and sensitivity for older people.
• Willing to be trained (Level 1 or 2 in social care encouraged).
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Caring, patient and empathetic nature.
• Previous care experience desirable, though not essential.
• Able to work flexible rota including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key worker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Participate in developing and reviewing individual care plans, including those for residents with dementia.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, enhancing residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities, infection control, and health & safety practices.
