Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year care experience in elderly settings (nursing home, hospital or community).
• Student nurses will be considered.
• For Principal Carer level posts SVQ 3 and team leadership experience are essential.
• Experience with elderly people and dementia knowledge is preferred.
• Time management and workload prioritisation for self and team.

Responsibilities

• Promote the highest standards of care within the home.
• Uphold residents' rights to privacy, dignity and choice.
• Provide a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Adhere to SSSC Code of Conduct.
• Set a good example in dress, manner, hygiene and behaviour.
• Report injuries, disease or dangerous practice to relevant personnel.
• Maintain accurately written records as required.
