Job summary

Avant healthcare services is seeking compassionate Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes in the United Kingdom. The role emphasizes travelling between homes, delivering personal care, and enabling day-to-day activities with a focus on safety and empathy.

Ideal candidates will have strong English communication, DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one, and a genuine desire to improve clients’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel between clients' homes.
• Right to work in the UK.
• DBS check (Enhanced) or willingness to apply for one.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Compassionate and patient caregiving approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, medication reminders).
• Help with household chores such as cleaning, laundry and meal prep.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with appointments, shopping and social activities.
• Support people with specialist needs (e.g., dementia, autism) as required.
• Maintain dignity, confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
