Cera Care in South Shields is seeking a HICSS Care Assistant to support people in their own homes, often after hospital discharge. You will deliver personal care, help with daily tasks, and provide companionship with a compassionate approach.

The role requires a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. It is a zero-hours contract with weekend shifts on a rotating rota, and there is potential to move to contracted hours in the future. Training opportunities are available.

About the Role

This position involves visiting and assessing individuals who have recently been discharged from hospital, so flexibility is essential. The role requires full flexibility and is offered on a zero-hours contract, with the potential to move to 30 contracted hours in the future if it becomes permanent. We offer both part-time and full-time roles across South Shields, Whitburn, Cleadon, and nearby areas.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required, and weekend work is part of the rota. Shifts follow a 7-week rotating schedule.
