Job summary

Choices Homecare, part of the Optimo Care Group, are seeking Care Assistants for clients across the Wakefield and Kirklees region. The role offers flexible full-time and part-time hours with a rate of pay £13.82 per hour and mileage allowance.

You'll provide personal care, support with medication administration, meals, and daily tasks, while building relationships with service users and families. Rotas are provided in advance; full training is given and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Care assistant role requires a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork are essential.
• UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for some routes.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal care such as washing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with medication administration and accurate documentation.
• Prepare meals and support with eating and drinking when needed.
• Encourage independence and assist with daily living tasks.
• Build positive relationships with service users and their families.
• Support emotional wellbeing and identify changes in behaviour or needs.
• Keep accurate records and communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
