Job summary

Farthings Residential Care Home in Retford is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant. You will provide person-centred care to our residents and support independence, including help with personal care, meals, activities and emotional support.

Experience in elderly care is preferred; NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate is desirable or you can work towards them. A full training program is provided, and DBS update is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience caring for the elderly is advantageous.
• Minimum NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care and Care Certificate or willingness to work towards.
• Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support residents to maintain independence.
• Support with personal care, at mealtimes and during activities.
• Offer emotional support and assist with daily tasks.
