Job summary

Bluebird Care in Market Harborough is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our expert team delivering high-quality care at home. You will support clients with daily living activities, promote independence and dignity, and work either independently or with a supportive team.

We offer flexible hours, a full induction and ongoing training, and rewards including paid mileage and paid travel time. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred to visit clients across the area.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not required as full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.
