If you don't drive and don't have access to your own vehicle, unfortunately this role isn't suitable. Our Care Assistants travel between customers' homes throughout Inverclyde and Renfrewshire, so being a confident driver with access to your own reliable vehicle is an essential part of the role.
As a Care Assistant, you'll provide compassionate, person-centred care in people's own homes.
Because you'll be travelling between customers' homes across Inverclyde and Renfrewshire, you must:
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential requirements for this position.
We provide paid travel time and mileage, so your time spent travelling between customers is recognised and supported.
We know that when our Care Assistants feel valued, supported and confident, the people they care for receive the very best support.
That's why we don't simply put you into a care role and leave you to figure things out.
You don't need previous professional care experience to join our team.
We can teach you the skills. What we can't teach is genuine kindness.
We're looking for people who naturally care about others, treat people with respect and want to make a real difference in someone's life.
Previous care experience is welcome but not essential. Full training will be provided.
The work you do may seem simple - helping someone get dressed, preparing lunch, making a cup of tea, reminding them about medication or taking the time to listen.
But to the person you're supporting, those moments can mean everything.
You could be the reason someone feels less lonely.
You could give a family peace of mind knowing their loved one is safe.
You could help someone stay in their own home for longer.
And you could become the familiar face that someone genuinely looks forward to seeing at the door.
That's the difference a Care Assistant can make.
If you're a caring, dependable person who wants a job with purpose - and you have a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle - we'd love to hear from you.
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle: ESSENTIAL
