Job summary

Renaissance Care seeks a compassionate Care Assistant to join the Wyndwell Care Home team in Peterhead. This role is 33 hours per week, working daytime shifts, focusing on person-centred care and resident wellbeing in a friendly, supportive environment.

You will engage residents in meaningful activities, assist with daily living tasks, and help promote nutrition and hydration while upholding the home’s values of care and inclusion.

Qualifications

• SVQ2 beneficial but not essential; full training provided.
• Must be an effective communicator and work well in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Promote nutrition and hydration for residents.
• Support residents in 1:1 activities and social engagement.
• Assist with mealtimes and daily routines.

We are seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our team in Wyndwell Care Home for 33 hours working Days.

Our Care Assistants are at the forefront of resident engagement, they support and encourage meaningful interactions to ensure residents live with purpose and connection. Our Care Assistants will participate in person-centred activities, outings and events and promote lifestyle and wellbeing choices for all residents.

The Care Assistant role is to ensure the highest quality, person-centred care for all residents – supporting the delivery of each individual care plan. The role promotes the independence and choice of residents, making sure that their voice is heard through all elements of care and support. The role offers variety and versatility as no two days are the same. Key elements of care include assisting with personal care, promote a positive mealtime experience to enhance nutrition and hydration, support meaningful activities and create 1:1 meaningful moments.

Requirements

An essential aspect of the role is upholding the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion. You will be an effective communicator and work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Having your SVQ2 and previous experience in the care sector is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided.
