Job summary

Renaissance Care Limited is seeking caring individuals to begin or continue their career in Social Care at Letham Park in Edinburgh. The role is for a Care Assistant with both full- and part-time hours available, in a resident-centered environment dedicated to wellbeing.

As a Care Assistant you will support personal care, encourage meaningful activities and promote nutrition and hydration while following each resident's care plan.

Qualifications

• Uphold the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion.
• Effective communicator and able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• SVQ2 in care or equivalent is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, ensuring dignity and privacy.
• Promote meaningful activities and 1:1 moments for residents.
• Support nutrition and hydration to maintain well‑being.
• Encourage participation in outings and events and follow each resident's care plan.

We are seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our team in Letham Park for full and part time hours.

Our Care Assistants are at the forefront of resident engagement, they support and encourage meaningful interactions to ensure residents live with purpose and connection. Our Care Assistants will participate in person-centred activities, outings and events, and promote lifestyle and wellbeing choices for all residents.
The Care Assistant role is to ensure the highest quality, person-centred care for all residents – supporting the delivery of each individual care plan. The role promotes the independence and choice of residents, making sure that their voice is heard through all elements of care and support. The role offers variety and versatility as no two days are the same. Key elements of care include assisting with personal care, promote a positive mealtime experience to enhance nutrition and hydration, support meaningful activities and create 1:1 meaningful moments.

Requirements

An essential aspect of the role is upholding the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion. You will be an effective communicator and work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Having your SVQ2 and previous experience in the care sector is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided.
