Job summary

Elizabeth Finn Homes is recruiting a compassionate Care Assistant for our Eversfield Care Home on Reigate Road. You will deliver personal care, support residents with daily routines, and help create a safe, dignified, and engaging environment.

We offer an hourly rate of £13.82 plus benefits. Shifts vary with full-time or part-time contracts; weekend work will be required. Applicants should have English communication, numeracy, and relevant care experience; DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education with good numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Level 2 in Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Experience caring for older people.
• Basic knowledge of Care Workers’ Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care in line with care plans and procedures, documenting accurately.
• Report any changes, concerns, incidents, or complaints promptly to senior staff.
• Support residents with social activities, routines, and meaningful engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, secure environment and ensure equipment is used/stored safely.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies; take responsibility for ongoing learning and development.
