Job summary

Methodist Home For the Aging Corporation is seeking a Care Assistant (Days) at Willowcroft, Derby on a fixed-term, part-time basis (33 hours per week). The role involves providing personal and social care to residents with dignity and respect, aligned to care plans and the home’s values.

You will work as a keyworker, support admissions, and contribute to individual care plans, including dementia care, while upholding safeguarding and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Respect and sensitivity for older people.
• Willingness to be trained (Level 1 or 2 in social care encouraged).
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Develop and review individual care plans, including those for residents with dementia.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, promoting wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control and health & safety practices.
