Highgate Care Services Ltd is recruiting a Care Assistant to join The Belvedere, Alderley Edge. This permanent, full-time role (33 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends) offers a starting rate of £12.81 per hour.

You will support residents with daily living, safeguarding their dignity, assist with mobility, monitor wellbeing, and help run activities in a warm, person-centred home. A positive, flexible team player attitude is valued, with training and career progression

Responsibilities

• Support residents with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing and daily living.
• Assist with physical, emotional and spiritual care while preserving comfort and dignity.
• Help residents with mobility and use aids effectively.
• Monitor residents who are confused or have behavioural challenges.
• Assist with continence and care for those nearing end of life.
• Record daily notes and follow care plans per policies.
• Support social activities and hobbies within the Home.
• Answer nurse calls, doors and telephone and pass messages promptly.
• Report wellbeing to senior care staff and perform checks as directed.
• Make visitors welcome and assist with refreshments as needed.
• Make and change beds; keep rooms clean and waste managed.
• Maintain and clean equipment used by residents.
