Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council in Scotland is advertising a care support role to deliver high-quality care with dignity and respect, enabling individuals to participate in decisions about their care.

The post requires a flexible rota including evenings and weekends, and is a fixed-term contract ending 31 March 2027. You must join or update PVG, obtain SSSC registration within 3 months, and provide two references (one from current or most recent employer).

Qualifications

• This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
• The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
• A confirmed offer and commencement are subject to pre-employment PVG checks and overseas checks if applicable.

• Work flexibly to cover a rota including evenings and weekends as required.
• Contribute to continuous quality service delivery and abide by safeguarding and PVG requirements.

Job description

To support the provision of high-quality care and support to individuals which is right for them; to ensure that people are treated with dignity and respect and are enabled to fully participate in decisions about their care.

This role will require flexible working, following a rota pattern which will include evenings and weekends.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Please note, the position advertised does not meet the salary threshold required for sponsorship.

Requirements

Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
