Job summary

Renaissance Care is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for Croftbank Care Home in Scotland. The role is 33 hours per week on day shift, focusing on person-centred care and resident engagement to support wellbeing and independence.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, assisting with personal care, meals, and meaningful activities, while promoting residents' voice in all aspects of their care.

Qualifications

• SVQ2 or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
• Effective communicator and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Previous care sector experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care.
• Support meaningful activities and 1:1 moments.
• Promote nutrition and hydration during mealtimes.
• Engage residents in planned outings and events.

We are seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our team in Croftbank Care Home for 33 hours per week working day shift.

Our Care Assistants are at the forefront of resident engagement, they support and encourage meaningful interactions to ensure residents live with purpose and connection. Our Care Assistants will participate in person-centred activities, outings and events and promote lifestyle and wellbeing choices for all residents.

The Care Assistant role is to ensure the highest quality, person-centred care for all residents – supporting the delivery of each individual care plan. The role promotes the independence and choice of residents, making sure that their voice is heard through all elements of care and support. The role offers variety and versatility as no two days are the same. Key elements of care include assisting with personal care, promote a positive mealtime experience to enhance nutrition and hydration, support meaningful activities and create 1:1 meaningful moments.

Requirements

An essential aspect of the role is upholding the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion. You will be an effective communicator and work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Having your SVQ2 and previous experience in the care sector is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided.
