Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited seeks a Care Worker for a Derby care home. You will assist residents with daily living, follow care plans, and support mobility and well-being while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires two references, in-date mandatory training, an enhanced DBS (or Update Service), and experience with hoists. It is an ongoing, on-site position with shifts spanning weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK residential care settings preferred.
• Two employment references, one from a care home, required.
• In-date mandatory training certificates (moving & handling, safeguarding, infection control) required.
• Enhanced DBS certificate dated within past 12 months or Update Service registration.
• Experience with hoists, slings and rotundas is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including assistance with daily living tasks.
• Follow care plans and record fluid intake and condition updates.
• Assist residents with mobility and participate in daily activities.
• Perform general domestic duties as required and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Be a supportive, friendly presence for residents and colleagues.

We have opportunities for Care Workers within a beautiful care home located in Derby with immediate start positions available!

The lovely home houses up to 26 amazing residents who suffer with age-related illnesses, your job will be to assist these people with their daily life and help them physically and mentally.

You and the existing teams responsibilities are:

• Personal care (inc. strip washes, toileting etc)
• Following personal care plans
• Record keeping (such as fluid intake / condition updates)
• Assisting with the resident’s mobility
• Taking part in daily activities
• Completing domestic duties as required
• Generally being a friendly and supportive influence

• Have two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting
• Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. practical moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service.
• Have a range of experience in the use of Hoists, Slings and Rotundas
• Have a minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience working within a residential care home.

Shifts can be during weekdays and weekend with the times typically being:

07:00 to 15:00

15:00 to 22:00

07:00 to 22:00

The rate of pay is between £12.75 to £13.25 an hour, depending on the days worked.
