Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant (Days) to support residents across our care home network in the United Kingdom. You will assist with daily living while upholding dignity, privacy and independence.

We emphasise compassion, confidentiality and ongoing learning; relevant qualifications are desirable and DBS checks are required. This role offers regular day shifts and a supportive environment with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• An understanding of the needs of residents
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• QCF diploma in care level 2 or equivalent (Desirable)
• Experience in providing care or working with elders (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Provide support with daily living while maintaining independence, privacy, dignity.
• Assist residents with dressing, bathing, mobility, and personal hygiene.
• Support residents with mobility and use of aids and equipment.
• Promote Greensleeves Care values of respect, openness and responsibility.

As a Care Assistant (Days), you will:

• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
