South Coast Nursing Homes is seeking a Care Assistant for Rookwood Residential Home in East/West Sussex. General duties include providing high quality personal care, promoting independence, assisting with meals, and maintaining resident interactions in the system.

The role is days only, 36 hours per week with every other weekend. Ideal candidates are compassionate, energetic, team players, with medication training or willingness to train, and a passion for excellent care.

Responsibilities

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents.
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing support as needed.
• Ensuring electronic residents' personalised interactions are inputted on the system.
• Serving food and drinks to residents and promoting social dining experiences.
• Developing relationships with relatives to support understanding residents' needs.
