Job summary

Buchanan Lodge Care Home in Bearsden, North Glasgow, is seeking a caring Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will support residents with daily living, follow care plans and help them feel safe, respected and valued.

No prior experience is required; full training and ongoing development are provided. PVG paid, pension, uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks annual leave for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Caring and respectful approach to residents.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work toward it.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal care and mobility.
• Support nutrition, hydration, and emotional wellbeing as per care plans.
• Contribute to safe, responsive, and consistent care.
• Work as part of a team to create a warm, supportive environment.
