Job summary

Buchanan Lodge Care Home in Bearsden, North Glasgow, is a lovingly converted former convent offering Residential, Nursing, Respite and Dementia care for 38- plus residents. We blend historic charm with modern comforts to create a warm and supportive environment.

As a Care Assistant, you will deliver person-centred care, assist with daily living including mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, and follow care plans to ensure safe, responsive care.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care and support with mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans to deliver safe, responsive and person-centred care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm environment for residents.
