Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Care Assistant at Ashurst Mews Care Home, Northampton to deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a compassionate care team for residents.

Our ideal candidate will communicate effectively, show respect, and be flexible to cover a range of duties. No prior experience is required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided, with opportunities to develop in a values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience is not required as induction and training are provided.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Respectful towards residents and others in the home.
• Efficient worker who can follow instructions from team members.
• Able to be adaptive and flexible to cover responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, maintaining independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise and report clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, infections; escalate as needed.
• Be courteous to residents and visitors, upholding dignity.
• Practice safe systems of work across all tasks.
