Job summary

Care Dorset Limited is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support adults across our care settings. You will help with personal care and daily living tasks, while upholding dignity and privacy for the people we support.

Responsibilities

• Undertake personal care duties including toileting, washing and transfer.
• Undertake domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Support clients in a way that maintains dignity and privacy.
• Maintain essential records with brief written entries on client records.
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements for manual handling, transfer hoisting and infection control.
• Work within the Gold Standards Framework.
• Hours include weekday shifts 7am to 2.30pm, 2pm to 10pm and alternate weekend shifts. These are compulsory.

Job description

Each day as a Care Assistant is different. You will assist with all aspects of personal care and support for the people we support within the setting.

• Undertake personal care duties as required to the relevant client group which will typically include toileting, washing and manual handling (including hoisting) and transfer.
• Undertake domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
• Support the relevant client group in a way that maintains dignity and privacy
• Participate in the maintenance of essential record keeping, through brief written recording on individual client records
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements in respect of manual handling and transfer hoisting and the use of protective equipment to aid infection control
• You would be expected to work within the Gold Standards Framework
• Hours include weekday shifts 7am to 2.30pm, 2pm to 10pm and alternate weekend shifts. These are compulsory
