Job summary

Bluebird Care Burnham, Beaconsfield and Marlow is recruiting a compassionate Care Assistant to support customers at home in Burnham, Slough and surrounding areas. You will deliver person-centred care, promote independence, and provide companionship with dignity and respect.

We offer expert training, flexible shifts, paid travel time and mileage, and a supportive team. No prior care experience is required as full training is provided and you’ll join an outstanding care network.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Age 18+.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Weekend availability required.
• Full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each customer’s needs.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support with nutrition and hydration, including meal planning and preparation.
• Help with medications and prescriptions as needed.
• Carry out light housework (tidying, laundry, cleaning).
• Be a dependable, friendly, and familiar face for customers.

What We’re Looking For

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Aged 18+
• Right to Work in the UK (we cannot accept sponsored staff or visa transfers)
• Great communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
• Weekend availability (every other weekend or one day every weekend)
• No previous care experience required - we’ll provide all the training you need
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm, understanding approach to care
