Job summary

Bluebird Care Winchester is seeking a Care Assistant to provide high-quality, person-centred care in the homes of our customers in Winchester and surrounding areas. You will support independence, dignity and wellbeing, working independently or as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required - training provided.
• Weekend availability is preferred.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
• Right to Work in the UK (not eligible for visa sponsorship).
• You must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each customer’s needs.
• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Support with nutrition and hydration, including meal planning and preparation.
• Help with medication and prescriptions under guidance.
• Carry out light housework (tidying, laundry, cleaning).
• Be a dependable, friendly, familiar face for customers.

What We’re Looking For

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Aged 18+
• Right to Work in the UK (we cannot accept sponsored staff or visa transfers)
• Great communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
• Weekend availability (every other weekend or one day every weekend)
• No previous care experience required - we’ll provide all the training you need
