Avery Healthcare Group Ltd is offering bank Care Assistant work at Waterhouse Manor Care Home, an elderly care setting for residents. The core of the work is personal hygiene care that protects residents' independence and dignity, along with spotting clinical risks such as falls, pressure sores and infection and escalating them quickly. No prior care experience is needed, as induction and training are provided. The post needs a DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK.

What the job involves

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services
• Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, supporting their independence, dignity and respect
• Recognise and understand clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and signs of infection, and escalating them quickly
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality
• Practise safe systems of work across the range of tasks
• Carry out reasonable instructions from other team members
• Cover a range of responsibilities at short notice
