Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will deliver high standards of personal care, contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents, assist with personal hygiene, recognize and manage clinical risk areas, and practice safe systems of work. An induction and training programme is provided to build confidence in the role, even for those without prior experience.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene to promote independence, dignity, and respect.
  • Recognise and understand clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalate identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.
  • Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
