Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes is looking for a Care Assistant to join The Poets in Worthing, West Sussex. The role is on days, 48 hours per week, providing high-quality personal care and promoting resident independence within a supportive team.

We offer training, competitive pay (£12.25 per hour weekdays, £12.86 per hour weekends, rising to £12.65 and £13.28 per hour), paid breaks, free uniform and DBS, and a contributory pension. A strong team attitude and compassion are valued.

We are looking for a Care Assistant to join our team on Days at The Poets, our flagship nursing home in Worthing, West Sussex.
Hours of work: 48 hrs per week
As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents;
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing any support to the residents where necessary;
• Ensuring electronic residents’ personalised interactions are inputted on the system;
• Serving food and drinks to the residents and promoting social dining experiences;
• Developing relationships with relatives to help support you in understanding their needs and developing their personal care.

More about you:

• Ideally, you’ll have experience in the Healthcare sector, however we will provide you with all the training you need to be successful in the role;
