Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes Ltd is seeking a Care Assistant to join our team at The Poets, our flagship nursing home in Worthing, West Sussex. The role covers day shifts and focuses on high quality personal care, social interaction and resident well-being.

You will promote independence, support residents, and maintain accurate electronic records while delivering compassionate service within a values-driven, family-owned care provider. Training is provided to successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Healthcare sector preferred, but full training is provided.
• Kind and caring with a positive approach.
• Energetic and hard-working; ready to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents.
• Promoting independence and enablement, providing support as needed.
• Entering residents’ personalised interactions on the electronic system.
• Serving food and drinks to residents and promoting social dining experiences.
• Developing relationships with relatives to understand needs and provide appropriate care.

We are looking for a Care Assistant to join our team on Days at The Poets, our flagship nursing home in Worthing, West Sussex.

Hours of work: 27hrs per week or 48hrs per week.

As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents;
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing any support to the residents where necessary;
• Ensuring electronic residents’ personalised interactions are inputted on the system;
• Serving food and drinks to the residents and promoting social dining experiences;
• Developing relationships with relatives to help support you in understanding their needs and developing their personal care.

More about you:

• Ideally, you’ll have experience in the Healthcare sector, however we will provide you with all the training you need to be successful in the role;
