Job summary

Komplex Care is seeking a Care Assistant in Wigan to provide specialist, nurse-led care at home for adults with lifelong clinical needs. Work can be days only (8am-8pm) or a mix of days and waking nights to ensure safe, stable, home-based care.

You’ll follow detailed clinical plans, support with ventilation and tracheostomy care, and help the patient stay engaged in daily activities while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training.
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently.
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.
• Genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care.

Role: Care Assistant

Location: Wigan

Hours: Days only 8am-8pm or days and waking nights

Payrate: £14.00 per hour

You’ll care for an adult in Wigan, working either days 8am-8pm or a mix of days and waking nights to provide safe and consistent care in their own home.

They live with a spinal cord injury and require support with ventilator and tracheostomy care. Beyond their clinical needs, they enjoy football and creative activities and you’ll help them enjoy the things that matter most to them safely.

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You’ll join a dedicated, nurse-led team providing hands-on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs.

This is NOT standard domiciliary care. You’ll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual’s condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home.
