Komplex Care is recruiting a Care Assistant to join a nurse‑led home care team in Drewsteignton, Exeter. You will provide 24 hours per week of personalized care to adults with lifelong clinical needs, following detailed care plans and delivering compassionate, safe support in the client’s home.

You’ll work 2 x 12 hour shifts, with day and night coverage as required. Training is provided, with ongoing clinical oversight and opportunities for career development within Komplex Group.

Qualificações

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training.
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently.
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.
• Genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care.

The Role

Role: Care Assistant

Location: Drewsteignton, Exeter

Hours: 24 hours per week (2 x 12 hour shifts)

Payrate: £15.43 p/h for day shifts, £16.43 p/h for night shifts

They live with Huntingtons Disease and require support with communication, movement. Beyond their clinical needs, they enjoy visiting local attractions and going out into the communityand you’ll help them enjoy the things that matter most to them safely.

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You’ll join a dedicated, nurse‑led team providing hands‑on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life‑critical clinical needs.

This is NOT standard domiciliary care. You’ll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual’s condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home. Your responsibilities may include:

• Managing tracheostomies, ventilation and specialist equipment
• Monitoring clinical observations and recognising deterioration
• Maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns immediately
