Job summary

Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall is recruiting a Waking Night Care Assistant to support a single customer in Crantock. You will stay awake during night hours, monitor health and wellbeing, assist with PEG feeding and suctioning, and hand over to the family in the morning.

The role offers night shifts at £15.46 per hour on weekdays and £15.66 on weekend nights, with specialist training, a Blue Light Card, and a staff referral scheme. DBS checks and references will be carried out.

Responsibilities

Our complex care team supports people with high health needs to stay safe and comfortable at home., We are looking for a Waking Night Care Assistant to provide waking night support a few nights a week to one customer in their home in Crantock, working alongside their family. You will stay awake and alert through the night, carry out PEG feeding and suctioning, reposition and settle our customer, watch for changes in their breathing and wellbeing, keep clear records and hand over to the family in the morning.
We offer £15.46 per hour weekday nights and £15.66 weekend nights, specialist complex care training signed off by our Registered Nurse, a Blue Light Card, a £100 staff referral scheme, staff recognition and wellbeing support.
This is a female-only role. It is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. DBS checks and references will be carried out.
