Job summary

Helping Hands is hiring Care Assistants in Tavistock to support people in their homes. No prior care experience is required as full training is provided to help you start a rewarding career with kindness and reliability at its core.

You’ll work in a supportive, ambitious team that values growth, offers flexible shifts, and grants access to paid mileage, early pay options, and funded qualifications. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
