Job summary

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant in Sturminster Newton to support a female service user at home. The role includes personal care, mobility help, domestic tasks, and discreet companionship within the community.

Part-time shifts, flexible patterns, and weekly PAYE or umbrella payment are offered. DBS clearance, ongoing training, and career progression opportunities are provided to ensure high-quality, person-centred care and Safeguarding compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months professional UK care experience.
• Must be a driver with a Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to support complex care needs with empathy and discretion.

About the Role

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for a Healthcare Assistant within the Sturminster Newton area who can support a female Service User who requires support with manual handling due to being a wheelchair user and other complex care needs. Our Healthcare Assistant roles are also doubled up as a companionship role by building up key relationships and promoting independence through daily tasks for our service user within her own home environment and especially within the community.

Activities will includedomestic tasks, moving & handling and personal care;but most importantly, suggesting new ideas and opportunities that serve the service users' best interests, by going above and beyond.

You will need to communicate with our service users effectively and appropriately, whilst also giving them the opportunity to communicate their needs as well.

Requirements for the Role

Here at Sugarman Health and Wellbeing, we are looking for an outgoing bubbly candidate, who can show their best assets on providing the highest quality of support.

• A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.
• Complex Care experience preferred but not a mandatory need.
• To provide the correct compliance documents including updated Right to Work and original DBS certificate.
• Must be a Driverholding a Full UK Driving License, due to the location and accessibility of public transport
