Job summary

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing is recruiting a Care Assistant to support a male service user with a C2 spinal injury, tracheotomy, and ventilator dependency in his home. Training will be provided, and full clinical support is available.

The role involves personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, monitoring vital signs after training, companionship, medication prompting where required, and helping with household tasks while maintaining dignity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months care experience.
• Valid driving licence and ability to drive a mobility van.
• Willing to holiday abroad.
• Able to work with a male service user with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting).
• Assist with mobility and manual handling.
• Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs after training.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Prompt or assist with medication where required and trained.
• Assist with household tasks (cleaning, laundry).
• Follow care plans and report changes to the team.
• Maintain dignity, respect and confidentiality at all times.

About the Role

Who We're Looking for

We're looking for individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care. Ideally, you will have:

• Essential: 6 Months of care experience
• Able to go on holidays abroad
• Driving License required, Ability to drive a mobility van
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, flexibility, and Computer literate.
• able to work with dogs present
