Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society in Stockport is seeking a Care Assistant to deliver compassionate, person‑centred care for residents at Moss Lane. The role involves supporting daily living activities, within a values‑driven environment and a supportive team.

You will work 30 hours per week with shifts across mornings and weekends, and you will have access to training, pension and benefits, with progression opportunities while upholding dignity and respect for residents.

Role Details

• Role: Care Assistant
• Location: 120 Moss Lane, Bramhall, Stockport, SK7 1EE
• Hours: 30 Hours a week
• Pay: £13.35 - £13.71 per hour
• Shifts: Week 1: Mon, Tue, Wed 8am - 2pm & Sun 8am - 8pm. Week 2: Mon, Tue, Thu 8am - 2pm & Fri 8am - 8pm.

The Role of Care Assistant

As a Care Assistant at Abbeyfield Living Society, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care that reflects our values and puts residents at the heart of everything we do.

Care & Compassion

You will support residents with their day‑to‑day personal care needs, including washing, dressing, eating, drinking and mobility. You will take the time to understand each individual, offering kindness, patience and empathy while promoting dignity, independence and choice.

You will help create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where residents feel safe, valued and at home. By building trusting relationships and encouraging social interaction, you will help foster a strong sense of belonging and connection within the home.

Integrity

You will act with honesty and professionalism, following care plans accurately, respecting confidentiality and raising concerns when something doesn’t feel right. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to clear, open communication within the team.

Excellence

You will be committed to delivering consistently high standards of care. This includes contributing to the development and review of individual care plans, recognising changes in residents’ needs, and striving to continuously improve the quality of support we provide.
