Care For All in Scarborough is looking for reliable care assistants to join our team in the Scarborough/Filey area. We offer permanent roles with both part-time and full-time hours, plus a comprehensive benefits package and induction training.

Responsibilities

• Provide clients with daily care and maintain independence.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as dressing, eating, medication, bathing and social needs.
• Keep the client’s environment clean and tidy.
• Work with the care manager and trained staff under supervision to carry out clinical responsibilities.
• Report any changes or unusual events to the care manager/on-call supervisor.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and wear the appropriate uniform.

Location: Scarborough/Filey Area, Care For All

Salary: Weekdays: £13.50 (daytime) & £14 per hour (after 6pm), Weekends: £14.50 (daytime) & £15 per hour (after 6pm) | Enhanced rates on bank holidays

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours/Working Pattern: Part-Time and Full-Time available

Job Description:

• To provide clients with the highest possible standard of care and support.
• To work in accordance with the policies and procedures of Care For All.
• To ensure the confidentiality of the client and Care For All at all times.
• To build good relationships with clients.
• To provide clients with daily care and maintaining independence.
• To assist clients with their daily activities of living e.g. dressing, eating, medication, bathing and social needs.
• To keep the client’s environment clean and tidy.
• To assist trained staff and the care manager, under supervision and where appropriate, to carry out their clinical responsibilities.
• To report any changes or anything unusual to the care manager/on call supervisor.
• To maintain the highest level of personal work cleanliness and hygiene.
• To adopt a neat, clean and tidy appearance of yourself at all times and to wear only the appropriate uniform (unless otherwise agreed).
• To be helpful and courteous with all clients and their families.
• To report all compliments, comments and complaints.
• Tocarry out all duties having regard for the safety of the client, self, staff and other individuals that may be in the workplace.
• To be fully aware of Health and Safety issues and procedures.
• To become fully orientated to a place of work and the necessary Fire Safety procedures.
• To report all accidents and incidents according to statutory, company and client policy.
