Job summary

Applefields School seeks dedicated Home Care Assistants to support clients in Skipton. Role involves personal care, meal preparation, light housework, and companionship within a community setting.

A full driving licence is required to travel between client homes; DBS checks are paid for by the employer and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have full driving licence and access to a car.
• Experience in care is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks with dignity and promote independence.
• Support clients with medication management and monitor health conditions.
• Help with meal planning and preparation to meet dietary needs.
• Provide light domestic tasks to maintain a safe, comfortable home.
• Engage in meaningful companionship to enhance wellbeing.
• Communicate effectively with clients’ families and healthcare providers.
• Participate in staff wellbeing and recognition programs.

Hours/Working Pattern: Various,7am - 2pm and 4pm - 10pm

• Helping with meal planning, preparation, and ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Providing assistance with light domestic tasks to maintain a comfortable safe living environment.
• Engaging in meaningful companionship to enhance overall well-being.
• Full driving licence and car required for this role.
• Communicate effectively with clients’ families, and healthcare providers.
