Advantage Healthcare, part of CCH, is seeking a Complex Care Assistant in Bridgend to support a client with spinal autonomic dysreflexia, a tracheostomy and ventilation in his home. You will assist with daily living tasks, ensuring the tracheostomy and vent are monitored while maintaining comfort and safety.

No prior care experience is required as full nurse-led training is provided; DBS check is paid, and there are clear opportunities for progression within the team.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required; full nurse-led training provided.
• Experience with tracheostomy and ventilation is beneficial but not essential; training provided.
• Strong care, compassion and resilience are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support the client with day-to-day activities and personal care.
• Monitor tracheostomy and ventilation and respond to changing needs.
• Contribute to a caring environment and maintain client safety.

Job Description

What you'll do

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant.

Our client lives at home with his partner and his children. He has Spinal Autonomic Dysreflexia, has a tracheostomy and also requires ventilation. He enjoys going out to bingo with his partner and care staff, and also spending time with his children.

You will support the client with day to day activities, supporting with all aspects of personal care and ensuring his tracheostomy and vent is monitored at all times.

What you'll need

You don’t need any care experience to apply for this role, just plenty of care, compassion, and resilience as we provide full nurse-led training.

Experience working with tracheostomy and ventilation machines would be beneficial, but is not essential for this role, as training will be provided to you.
