Job summary

Highwood Care Home is recruiting a Care Assistant to make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily living needs, and uphold dignity and independence in a warm, respectful environment.

The role involves following care plans, monitoring changes in condition, and supporting wellbeing. Training and development are provided, with alternate weekends required and a commitment to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach during care delivery.

• Willingness to learn and develop in the role.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Job description

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing. You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
