City & County Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated care professional to support a paediatric client with complex needs in Durham. You will assist during the day with school participation, and at night manage airway care and PEG feeding, ensuring comfort and safety for the child and family.
Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilation management is preferred; training and DBS clearance are provided. A rewarding role with family-centred care and opportunities for progression.
Shifts - Days (09:30 - 15:30) and Nights (21:00-07:00)

This role is supporting our paediatric client with a genetic mutation, Epileptic Encephalopathy and Pharngomalacia to attend school and be able to participate in school activities during the day. At nights you will be supporting the family with their bedtime routine and ensuring their airway and PEG is managed.
They have a tracheostomy and use a ventilator to maintain their airway at night, they are given food and medication via a PEG and require assistance with mobility. The ideal candidate will have experience looking after children with complex needs both at home and in the school setting. Our client enjoys spending time with their brother, family and carer, listening to music and age appropriate stories.
What you’ll need
We are looking for someone that has complex care experience, specifically in tracheostomy care, ventilation management and PEG feeding. Experience working with children with complex needs would be beneficial for this position.
