Job summary

Helping Hands is hiring a Care Assistant to support people to live well in their own homes across the community. You’ll be part of a caring, ambitious team where your work makes a real difference every day.

You don’t need prior care experience; training is provided, and there is ongoing support to help you grow. A driving license and access to your own vehicle are preferred for visits between clients.

• No care experience required; kindness, reliability and a genuine desire to help others are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm companionship to customers in their homes.
• Assist with personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Help with mobility and safety.
• Administer medications as per care plans.
• Help with household tasks including cleaning and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands and provide thoughtful support.

What you’ll do

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.


• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.


• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.


• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.


• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.


• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.


• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
