Job summary

Silkwood Rose Care Home is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join a friendly team in Milford. You will support residents with personal care, meals and wellbeing, delivering dignity-centered care in a welcoming environment.

The role offers full-time hours (38.5 per week), day or night shifts, and a pay rate of £12.95 per hour with training and development provided.

As a Care Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting residents to live comfortable, fulfilling and independent lives. We can offer;

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes residents' dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.
• Assist residents with eating, drinking and maintaining good nutrition and hydration.
• Build positive relationships with residents, their families and your colleagues.
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and maintain their independence wherever possible.
• Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents' health or wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively during handovers.
• Follow safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively as part of a caring and supportive team.
• Help create a warm, welcoming and homely environment for every resident.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Is kind, compassionate and genuinely passionate about caring for others.
• Has previous experience in a care setting (desirable, but not essential).
• Holds or is willing to work towards their Care Certificate (essential).
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
