Job summary

La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home in Martock is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living and wellbeing. You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, mobility and nutrition, and contribute to a safe, person-centred environment.

This role welcomes both experienced carers and newcomers, with full training and ongoing development provided. The successful candidate will work alternate weekends and join a supportive team focused on dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Job description

La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home is nestled on the outskirts of Martock, surrounded by the stunning Somerset countryside. This innovative, purpose-built home provides specialist Dementia and Nursing care for up to 76 residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.00 per hour
• Full & Part time hours available
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
